After a short break-up in `84 because of testicular cancer since he'd been exposed to agent orange, we got back together with what is now known as the classic line-up in summer `85 which was, again, called, Thin white Line. Although we nearly had a revolving door on personnel, the name stayed the same until early Feb. `05! That Wed. night, the band finally broke up for good owing to personal differences between Bob and our last guitarist, the late Peter J. Rossi, the best guitarist we've ever had! A year later, he put together the new band (actually, the same band with yet ANOTHER new name, but with different personnel) and the band was never as good as what it used to be after that.
He was born in July `52. I know, because when I joined the band in early `80, they held his 28th B-day party at a gig at Le Cirque, downtown. It's 12 days after mine.
He HAD been married before I met him and had a daughter. Last I heard (late `80's), he'd become a grandfather. I can only assume he'd become a great-grandfather shortly before he died.
As far as I know, "Dock Of The Busstopp" had nothing to do with "Dock Of The Bay".Satchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07214467422948003085noreply@blogger.com
